FREE Online Exercise Classes

Now that the coronavirus has the better portion of our country sidelined from exercising or staying active, some people have come to realize that staying healthy is not all about the location, the equipment, the gear, the clothes, the look.

Staying healthy is however a state of mind and a matter of choice. What you do or where you do it is not as important as finding some method of exercise that you can commit to doing consistently.

I usually teach 3 tai chi and qigong lessons a week and a few private lessons. Now, ZERO classes for the unforeseeable future. So I will be out that income stream until things change. However, for about the last 10 years, I have been recording many of my classes and posting them, FREE to view for anyone willing to try to watch and learn from an online format. My original goal in posting classes online was to raise the awareness of the benefits of tai chi, qigong and martial arts exercise methods. I don’t have millions of followers on Facebook, YouTube nor Instagram but some regardless.

More viewers/followers would be nice but really what is gained by having millions of “likes” if no one really does the exercises and benefits from doing them?

What would be nicer, really would be to have more people that actually attend classes or take lessons and truly reap the benefits of these time-proven treasures of ancient knowledge. A teacher can’t make a student learn but can hopefully teach something new, fun and interesting, while setting a good example.

Tai Chi & Qigong – methods to stay healthy

Doesn’t require leaving you home.
Doesn’t require a gym membership.
No need for special clothes nor equipment.

Hey friends & neighbors, if you are starting to become stressed out from being stuck at home and need an exercise method that doesn’t require going to the gym or being close to other people. My classes are on hiatus with the rest of the country, but I have over 100 videos for exercises and education on my Youtube page.

Now is a great time to realize that we are in control and responsible for our health and well-being. We have been all along, but crisis puts our priorities back in proper focus. Proactive rather than reactive.

What You Think Affects Your Health

Thoughts-affecting the organs

Many cultures have known this for thousands of years.  Western medicine has acknowledged in recent years, how stress has an effect on the internal organs and consequently the immune system.

When humans are confronted with trauma or extreme stress, the body adjusts with changes to the blood chemistry to deal with the tasks at hand. When the “flight or flight response” or the parasympathetic nervous system activates, adrenaline and cortisol dump into the blood stream.  Prolonged adrenaline & cortisol in the blood is thought to cause deterioration of the internal organs and systems of the human body.

Meditation, tai chi, qigong and yoga are time-proven methods that help regulate thoughts, emotions and the resulting blood chemistry.

Layers of Energetic Anatomy

Here is a graphical presentation of how the various layers of human anatomy, and the energetic anatomy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) are all interconnected within the practices of Tai Chi & Qigong (yoga-type exercises).

My goal is to present an education that brings awareness to these time-proven methods. With an intent to de-mystify and simplify explanations, hopefully more people can come to realize that we are all accountable for our own well-being.
