Most people understand that a healthy spine is good for overall health. If you have neck or back issues, how is your activity level effected? Probably greatly, for many suffering from chronic pain.

Swimming, running, cycling and weight training can be great exercise methods for maintaining overall fitness. But for keeping the spine healthy, flexible and strong – not so much. Instead of exercising your biceps, chest and abnomen for appearance alone, why not exercise your spine to maintain your ability to participate in whatever activities you enjoy?

Health & Well Being Education Project

Having a background in martial arts (I started when I was 16) has helped me as a graphic artist, author, photographer and CAD draftsman to document the vast curriculum available from martial arts, qigong (tai chi & yoga) and many other fitness/wellness methods.

I having been working on a lifelong project of producing books(lets), graphic charts, posters and videos to help educate people about how these ancient methods are truly a self healthcare program. Hopefully more people can realize that we as individuals, are in control of how our health and well being is maintained into our latter years.

Yang Style 24

Yang Style Tai Chi – 24 Forms

In 1956 a group of Tai Chi experts, organized by the Chinese State Physical Culture &  port Commission created the simplified 24 set Tai Chi Quan based on Yang Style. This made a complicated form more simple. Today the Yang style is the most popular of Tai Chi system and is practiced by millions worldwide.

Regulating the breath can change our emotions which adjusts the blood chemistry which in turn, effects the internal organs.

Often times, people confuse harder with better, when speaking about health, fitness and well being.

Movement within the 3 anatomical planes, is a another benefit of Tai Chi exercises. These low impact exercises are also very good for managing chronic pain while rehabilitating injuries. Many practice these methods to relax, relieve stress and become more self-aware.
