Lower back stretch with deliberate deep breathing

Lower back stretch with deliberate deep breathing. Often times, the quadratus lumborum gets strained or injured from improper lifting, being tight or weak. This exercise is performed slowly and gently while focusing deliberately on relaxing the core muscles, while breathing deep.

The new healthcare program is actually the old program – self care. Get your body moving, breathe deep and engage your mind.

A time-proven curriculum
A teacher willing to share.
A community for support and contrast.

My goal is to present an education that brings awareness to these time-proven methods. With an intent to de-mystify and simplify explanations, hopefully more people can come to realize that we are all accountable for our own well-being. A Balanced Life – One Perspective

Mind-Body-spirit-detailed

Often I hear or read about the discussion of the mind, body & spirit connection, or achieving the harmony of all three.
I have been studying, practicing and pursuing this harmony for over 40 years. I have found that this balance doesn’t just come about; it takes time, effort, resources, sacrifice or some combination of these factors.
Mind, body & spiritual well-being don’t recognize the gym, the yoga studio, the spa. Nor the designer workout clothes and gear. It is not about the stuff, the equipment, the place.
It is however, about the individual committing to themselves to be the best version of themselves. The other items are just tools to help with journey along the way.

Posture & Symmetry Affect the Body & Mind

Which side do you favor?
Do you have a stronger side?
A weaker side you avoid?
A faster side you use for activities?

Some of the above have to do with your posture and natural symmetry of your body.

These are the type of self-awareness elements that practices like tai chi, qigong and yoga address.

One part moves, all parts move

One part moves, all parts move – is a concept behind tai chi and its forms (exercises).

Movements from the fingers to the toes; the deep and regulated breathing; the deliberate thought that goes into each exercise – these are the factors that make tai chi (and qigong) an all encompassing mind, body and spirit (self-awareness) practice.

When the limbs are moved in specific patterns of exercises, the fascia (connective tissue) is engaged moving muscles throughout the entire body. There is some research showing that the fascia might be the conduit that qi (energy or life force) circulates throughout the individual.
