
You are what you eat, think and how you move (or don’t) move your body. If your diet is mostly acidic foods, your organs and all systems adjust. An acid based diet is a cause of obesity, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and many more issues.
Shallow breathing, from stress and aging also allows for more carbon dioxide in the blood, which again is acidic to the blood and organs. Deeper breathing brings more oxygen into the blood stream making the blood more alkaline.
Exercises from tai chi, yoga, qigong, meditation, and others all help to bring more oxygen into the lungs to help balance the pH balance of the blood stream.
